Phil Foden sets his sights on returning to the England squad, revealing he has had no communication with Thomas Tuchel.
Foden: ‘You’ve got to keep delivering performances’
Enzo Maresca: ‘We can’t rely on Erling for every match’
Phil Foden is targeting a comeback for England after the Manchester City forward was omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s squad for last summer’s World Cup and this season’s Nations League fixtures.
Although the upcoming round of England matches in the tournament – with the squad set to be announced on Friday – might arrive too early for a return, Foden is determined to work his way back into Tuchel’s considerations. The 26-year-old stated: “Hopefully, the call-up might come again at some point. That’s just how it goes [being left out]. Football has its highs and lows. You just have to give your best, keep producing performances.”
